GRAND ISLAND – A fatal explosion happened in Wood River this morning.
According to the Hall County Attorney’s Office an explosion happened mid-morning Friday, Oct. 13 at the chemical compound building at Hornady Manufacturing, 8350 W Old Potash Highway, Wood River.
As a result of the explosion, one female was confirmed deceased.
Hall County Attorney Marty Klein states the no one else was injured in the explosion.
The Hall County Attorney, acting in his role as county coroner, responded to the scene, and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and State Fire Marshal’s office remain on scene investigating the cause of the explosion.
