Kelsey Hatcher scored 15 points to lead the Kearney girls basketball team over Omaha Westside Saturday night, 59-54. Click here for the broadcast replay.
The second straight win of the season was the Bearcats first home win of the season, previously falling to Elkhorn South in the home season opener.
Both teams were tied at 17, before the Bearcats pulled away with a 15 point second quarter to lead 32-25 at halftime.
Westside would storm out of the intermission with a quick 5-0 run to put the Bearcats on the ropes, but would pull away to lead by five at the end of the third. The back and forth battle continued into the fourth, with the Bearcats keeping the Warriors at bay.

Both teams moved to 2-2 on the season. Kearney hits the road to take on Columbus Tuesday.
