KEARNEY – Despite Mother Nature’s best efforts, the Kearney Catholic Stars will still attempt to host the Aurora Huskies for doubleheader basketball action.
Athletic Director Rick Petri confirmed that the Stars girls and boys basketball teams will host Aurora on Monday, Jan. 29 with the girls opening tip-off set for 6 PM with the boys to follow.
The original contests were set for Thursday, Jan. 18 but the games were postponed due to snow squalls, high winds, blowing snow, and other factors that prevented Aurora from traveling.
Kearney Catholic takes on the Centennial Conference Tournament this week, with the boys hosting GICC tonight at 6 PM and the girls traveling to Bishop Neumann on Tuesday.
