GRAND ISLAND – A 43-year-old Phillips man is accused of holding a pocketknife to a 17-year-old male’s throat on Sept. 14 at 310 N. Cherokee.

Robert Lewis of Phillips is charged with felony terroristic threats and felony using a pocketknife to commit a felony.

According to a Grand Island Police Department probable cause statement, at approximately 3:05 a.m. Sept. 14, officers talked to a juvenile male and juvenile female about a weapons offense.

“It was reported that an adult male pulled a knife and placed it against the juvenile male’s throat,” the statement said. At the time that Lewis was arrested, a pocketknife was located on him. Witnesses confirmed that Lewis put the knife against the 17-year-old’s neck.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Oct. 25 before County Judge Alfred Corey. Bond was set at $50,000.
