OXFORD — Southern Valley Schools announced on Tuesday, Oct. 1 that they will cancel the remainder of their football season effective immediately.
The district cited the lack of available players and the cancellation of includes the varsity and junior varsity levels.
“Please know that we did not come to this decision lightly, but we could not in good conscious, put the few players we have left in that position,” per the press release.
