HOLDREGE — Volunteers canvased an area in south central Nebraska to search for a Lincoln woman who has been missing since July.
Jerica Hamre of Lincoln, was reported missing by her family on July 3, 2024.
Based on information gathered during the investigation by the Lincoln Police Department, the search has turned to south Central Nebraska.
On Oct. 21-22, the Nebraska State Patrol and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, along with several K9 units, searched a property in Overton. Unfortunately, no clues of evidentiary value were located during the search.
Evidence suggests Jerica could have last been in the vicinity of Arapahoe, Holdrege, Overton and Lexington, Nebraska, along with the surrounding rural areas.

“Bring ‘Em Home Nebraska is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the task of reuniting at-risk individuals, who have been reported missing in the state of Nebraska, with their parents, families and loved ones,” according to their website.
“Every volunteer who came out for the search today, you are truly amazing. You showed exactly what it is to be a community. Jerica, we will never stop looking for you,” Bring ‘Em Home Nebraska stated on social media following the search.
The LPD are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts or details that could help investigators to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
“Please help us find Jerica and bring her home. No detail is too small. We appreciate all tips and leads. Please share this post with people in central Nebraska so they are aware of search efforts,” the LPD stated.
