Dan Lonowski, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
HASTINGS — In the race for Legislative District 33, Dan Lonowski will be the next representative, based on the unofficial results from the election.
Lonowski claimed 11,811 votes, 67 percent over Michelle Smith, 5,729, 32.6 percent.
Lonowski, 61, retired after 29 years of teaching and coaching at Adams Central High School. He also spent 36 years serving with the U.S. Army and National Guard.
District 33 is currently represented by Senator Steve Halloran, who is term limited, having been elected in 2016 and reelected in 2020.
