Clouse for Legislature, Courtesy

KEARNEY — The results of Election Day show that Stan Clouse has earned the votes to represent Legislative District 37.

Per the Nebraska Secretary of State, Clouse claimed 9,675 votes, 58 percent over Lana Peister, 6,777 votes, 41.1 percent.

Clouse has been mayor of the City of Kearney since 2006, sat on the city council since 2003 and has been employed with the Nebraska Public Power District for over 40 years, from which he recently retired.

District 37 is currently held by Senator John Lowe, who is term limited, having been elected in 2016 and reelected in 2020.
