MAYWOOD — A Maywood Public Schools teacher and coach has been charged with the sexual abuse of students.
Nicholas High, 29, of Bertrand, has been charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse by a school employee, a Class 2A felony and three counts of third-degree sexual abuse by a school employee, a Class 4 felony.
High is listed on the Maywood Public Schools website as a physical education teacher and coach.
The arrest affidavit detailing the charges has been sealed by the Frontier County Court, but the alleged crimes occurred between August 2020 and May 2022 and involved three victims, according to the complaint filed on Nov. 22.
A warrant was issued against High on Nov. 22.
No future court date has been listed.
