GRAND ISLAND – Two new members joined Grand Island’s City Council Dec. 3.

Ryan O’Neill represents Ward 3. O’Neill, 43, is an information technology manager at Amur.

O’Neill said he was “very excited” to be joining the City Council. O’Neill said he was “looking forward to a whole new opportunity.”

Doug Brown, 65, represents Ward 1. He served 20 years in the Navy. He then retired after working 20 years as the operations security manager at the Central Nebraska Regional Airport.

“I’m excited. I’m ready to go to work,” he said. He mentioned that he had an engineering and administrative background that would be useful as a City Council member.
