COLFAX CO. — On Dec. 11, 2024, Colfax County Sheriff Shawn Messerlie’s office received a report of a body found in rural Colfax County.
The body was found in the area of Road C and Roads 12-13. The deceased person has been identified as 30-year-old Nathan Johnson of Butler County.
Autopsy results are pending.
There is an active investigation being conducted with cooperation of multiple law enforcement agencies including the Columbus Police Department, the Colfax County Sheriff’s Office, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
