HASTINGS — A power outage occurred in Hastings after a vehicle struck a utility pole during the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 18.
According to the City of Hastings, the outage began around 6 p.m. and affected more than 500 customers in the northwest portion of Hastings and the Hastings Utility Service area.
The outage began when a vehicle struck a utility pole on 42nd Street just east of U.S. Highway 281.
The outage resolved around 9 p.m.
Electric distribution crews were able to reroute power and will make further repairs beginning on Thursday
