RAVENNA — The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office released the identity of a Ravenna teen who as killed as the result of a vehicle accident on Christmas Day south of Pleasanton.
Gavin E. Reisbeck, 17, of Ravenna, was identified as driver and victim of the fatal accident.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup with four occupants was traveling eastbound on the Grand Island county gravel roadway. Approximately one-quarter mile east of Cherry Road, the pickup left the roadway, entered the north ditch, rolled, and struck a power pole.
Reisbeck was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Three other male occupants, all 15 years of age, were transported from the scene to Kearney-area hospitals.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by members of the Kearney/Buffalo County Fatality Accident Investigation Team (FAIT), Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department, Kearney Police Department, CHI Good Samaritan Hospital Paramedics, Buffalo County Highway Department, and the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office.
