GRAND ISLAND —The Grand Island Police Department conducted recent tobacco compliance checks and found one business in violation.

On Monday Dec. 30, GIPD School Resource Officers conducted tobacco compliance checks due to the increased use of vaping tobacco products by underage minors in Grand Island.

Four businesses were checked, and one of the businesses sold a vape tobacco device to an underage person. The business that failed compliance was:

  • Smoker’s Island – 309 S. Locust, Grand Island
