GRAND ISLAND — Two vehicle thefts were reported in Grand Island during the morning hours of Monday, Dec. 30.

According to the Grand Island Police Department (GIPD), at 6:11 a.m. officers responded to W. Charles St. for the report of a vehicle theft.

A 45-year-old woman reported that her vehicle, a 2012 GMC Terrain valued at $10,000 was stolen. The vehicle was later located and returned to the woman.

Later, at 6:55 p.m., a 44-year-old woman reported at her 2018 Nissan Altima was reported stolen while it was left running outside of a residence.

This vehicle was also later recovered, with most of its contents and was returned to the owner. This case remains open.
