KEARNEY — NebraskaLand Bank is proud to announce the 2024 recipients of its “My Fair Share” program, an employee-driven initiative that has been making a difference in our community since 2004.
Through this annual program, NebraskaLand Bank employees contribute a portion of their paychecks to support nonprofit organizations and causes that uplift our communities.
This year, thanks to the generosity of our incredible team, $16,000 will be distributed to eight deserving organizations, including Kearney Animal Shelter, Kearney Area Community Foundation, Bridge of Hope, PAW-itive Partners, North Platte Area Children’s Museum, North Platte Skate Park, Hospice of Sweetwater County, and Sweetwater Family Resource Center.
The “My Fair Share” program stands as a testament to the culture of NebraskaLand Bank, where giving back isn’t just an act—it’s a way of life. Employees not only nominate organizations close to their hearts but also pledge their support throughout the year, embodying the spirit of generosity that drives our success.
Since the program’s inception, NebraskaLand Bank employees have collectively donated an astounding $232,000 to support meaningful causes.
Mike Jacobson, President and CEO of NebraskaLand Bank, reflected on the impact of this program, saying, “Every day, I am beyond grateful and proud of the staff at NebraskaLand Bank. While you are familiar with our staff volunteering their time at local events, you may not know that our employees routinely give a part of their paycheck. What an honor it is to lead such giving employees, who participate in worthy causes of giving back, and who go above and beyond. Robert Ingersoll said it well, ‘We rise by lifting others.’”
