KEARNEY — Kearney Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce that Tasha Maloley has accepted the position of KCLC Director (Kearney Area Community Learning Center) and will join the KPS Foundation Staff on March 5, 2025.
Tasha is currently serving as the In School Suspension Coordinator at Sunrise Middle School, and has a long history as an assistant director of childcare facilities in the community. She brings tremendous enthusiasm for the program and a working knowledge of DHHS requirements. She has worked with numerous parents to build and maintain positive support networks while promoting student social, emotional, and academic needs.
“We are pleased to have Tasha taking on this role that impacts over 500 kids throughout the course of a year” shared Lisa Reese Parish. “As this program moves forward, she has great ideas as it enters is 21st year. KCLC meets a critical need in the community for after-school care and quality programming.”
The KCLC Program began in 2003 through the 21st Century Learning Center grants at four of Kearney Public Schools Elementary Schools. Over the years, it has come to serve nine of the elementary schools and Sunrise Middle School.
KCLC provides a variety of clubs, academic programs, homework help, enrichment activities, recreation activities, field trips, and snacks! It is an engaging and energetic program that will help children succeed both academically and socially.
