SCOTTSBLUFF — The Scottsbluff Police Department continues its investigation into an assault that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old male.
On Monday, Jan. 20, around 10:25 p.m., an assault near the area of 5th Ave and East Overland resulted in Wyatt Reeb,15, of Scottsbluff, suffered a life threatening, penetrating chest wound.
Reeb would later succumb to his injuries on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Detectives with the Scottsbluff Police Department, along with assistance provided by the Nebraska State Patrol and Gering Police Department, have been actively investigating.
“Again, the Scottsbluff Police Department would ask that any citizens that may have video, or information, from the area of the 1200 block to the 1600 block of Fifth Avenue or the area between First Avenue and Seventh Avenue along E. Overland to notify the department,” the department stated in a press release.
