Heartland Events Center, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)

GRAND ISLAND — Following the success of the Heartland Events Center’s first-ever job fair in early January, the HEC is looking to fill out a few remaining part-time roles within its staff for the 2025 season.

HEC leadership will again be hosting a two-day job fair that will from January 29-30. The fair will run from 5-7 p.m. both nights, and the events center will be looking particularly for bartenders, cooks, kitchen staff and ticket office staff.

“We were blown away by the turnout from our first job fair back on January 7 and 8,” HEC Executive Director Kyler Tarwater said. “We made dozens of hires over those few days, allowing us to fill much-needed positions for the 2025 season. We have just a few more openings we’re hoping to fill with this upcoming fair.”

The job fair will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and Thursday, Jan. 30 from 5-8 p.m. in the Box Office Concourse Area. Those attending the fair will be able to meet with the entirety of the new management staff from VenuWorks while also getting a sneak peek at the exciting year of events ahead.

HEC leadership also says experience is not necessary to apply for many of their part-time roles. They will be offering training for the positions of bartender, kitchen staff and ticket office staff
