HASTINGS — The summer seasonal hiring process is now open for the City of Hastings.

Online applications and information about seasonal positions are available at: www.cityofhastings.org/departments/human-resources/job-openings/seasonal-and-temporary-positions/seasonal-staff2025.html.

The Hastings Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Seasonal Job Fair 1-3 p.m., Sunday, March 2 at the Hastings City Auditorium, 400 N. Hastings Ave.

Most of the City’s seasonal positions are with the Parks and Rec Department and that department runs the Seasonal Job Fair, but a small number of summer positions are available with other departments as well.

Applicants for seasonal Parks and Rec positions arrive at the Seasonal Job Fair and fill out an application online at available devices, if applicants haven’t done so already. After finding a seat in the appropriate area for the position they are applying for, applicants are then interviewed on the spot.

Applicants looking for jobs with other departments should complete the online seasonal position form for consideration as well.

The City of Hastings hires nearly 200 seasonal employees each summer.

The variety of positions offer competitive pay, a fun work environment and rewarding experience for those seeking their first jobs.
