KEARNEY — Congratulations to Sunrise Middle School student Aaron Vitalis (Aaron23584), who has been selected as Artsonia’s Artist of the Week for grades 7th-9th, earning the national recognition for the week of Feb. 2 – Feb. 8.

Aaron’s artwork was chosen among entries from across the country, and during the contest, received an impressive 1,507 votes from website visitors. Their winning piece will be featured on the Artsonia homepage for the next few days, showcasing their talent to a broad audience.

To celebrate this achievement, Artsonia will be sending a special award plaque to Sunrise Middle School to present to Aaron, along with gift certificates generously donated by Blick Art Materials for both the student and their art teacher.

“We are incredibly proud of Aaron for this outstanding accomplishment,” said Sunrise Art Teacher, Ana Rodriguez Trejo. “This award is a testament to their creativity, dedication, and passion for the arts. We also want to thank the community for supporting and voting for our talented student!”
