HASTINGS — Adams County Emergency Management reports that most of the county is without power this morning, including Hastings.
Adams County EM also noted that whiteout conditions are in place across the area and travel is not advised.
The Southern Public Power District noted, “We are experiencing multiple outages across the district as the blizzard rolls through. Crews are dispatched across the district. If you are experiencing an outage please call 800-579-3019.”
At 7:21 a.m., SPPD stated, “We are bringing crews in until the white out conditions lift a little. We know many of you have been out for a couple of hours now, unfortunately not a lot that the crews are doing is working with the wind right now.”
A Blizzard Warning remains in place until 2 p.m., while a High Wind Warnings lasts until 7 p.m.
