The NPPD Tech One Substation, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
NEBRASKA — The Nebraska Public Power District released a power outage update as blizzard conditions continue across much of Nebraska
Crews will be restoring customers as quickly and as safely as possible. The whiteout blizzard conditions are very hazardous right now for our crews needing to travel to outages or get up in bucket trucks, and has limited our crews ability to safely respond to outages. As conditions improve in each of the impacted areas, our crews will work to restore impacted customers.
We are encouraging customers to stay away from downed power lines. If a customer has a concern about a downed powerline or an outage impacting them, they can contact us at 1-877-ASK-NPPD or through our NPPD on the Go mobile app. I will be sending a follow-up later today with updated outage information.
