KEARNEY – Think you have the best taste in music?

Get ready to prove it April 24 during the Aux Cord Wars Live event at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Hosted by nationally touring entertainers Jay Dukes and Trizzy, this high-energy music competition puts audience members in control of the playlist. For over two hours, contestants selected from the crowd will battle head-to-head, choosing their favorite songs from a specific genre to hype up the Health and Sports Center.

When the Aux Cord Wars official DJs stop spinning tracks, it’s time for the audience to decide who played the most popular hits. Cash and prizes totaling $2,000 will be awarded to the winning contestants that night.

Aux Cord Wars is free and open to the public, but UNK students will receive priority access to the pit area. Those tickets are available at no cost to the first 500 Lopers who sign up at go.unk.edu/aux starting today. Tickets are not required for general admission seating.

Organized and sponsored by UNK’s Loper Programming and Activities Council, the immersive musical experience is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. April 24, with doors to the Health and Sports Center opening at 6:30 p.m.

Whether you’re stepping up to the challenge or just looking to enjoy the ultimate party atmosphere, you won’t want to miss Aux Cord Wars Live at UNK.
