HASTINGS — The Hastings Museum is opening “Tet and the Battle of Hue,” on Tuesday.

This is the third and final exhibit in the series underwritten by the Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired and produced by Tactile Images. These exhibits encourage tactile exploration of visual and graphic materials. They include braille text and audio narratives.

John Olson, co-founder of 3D Photo Works teamed up with Tactile Images to increase engagement, accessibility, and inclusion for those are blind and visually impaired. He will be in Hastings on Monday, March 24 installing the latest exhibit which features his photographs from the Battle of Hue. Olson is a former staff photographer for LIFE Magazine and was a combat photographer during the Vietnam War.

For those of you in media who would like to set up interviews with Olson, please connect with Hastings Museum Marketing Director Mikayla Wright at (402) 461-2399 or mwright@cityofhastings.org. Mikayla is also CC’d here. Mikayla could also help set up interviews with Museum staff about the exhibit, even after the exhibit is open.
