LINCOLN — A domestic violence incident early Monday morning has landed a Lincoln man in jail. Lincoln Police Department Public Information Officer Erika Thomas says just before 4:30 a.m. officers received a report of an assault near 47th and South Street.

She says officers were initially unable to find the victim. “Just after 10:45 a.m., the victim called in again and shared that a man known to her had held her hostage for three hours overnight before he assaulted her.”

Thomas says the woman suffered injuries on her head. “With the assistance of the Fugitive Task Force 35-year-old Carl Miller was taken into custody.” He was taken to the Lancaster County Jail where he was booked for assault by strangulation or suffocation, domestic assault and false imprisonment.
