HASTINGS — The City of Hastings will hold a Fair Housing Symposium, 10 a.m. to noon, April 17 at the Hastings Public Library, 314 N. Denver Ave.
Morning refreshments will be served. Translation services will be available.
This symposium is intended to share valuable information about safe and appropriate housing in Hastings and the State’s Landlord Tenant laws.
A representative from Legal Aid of Nebraska will give a presentation on the State’s Landlord Tenant Laws. Representatives from the City will present building and property maintenance codes.
This event is intended for both landlords and tenants, and is free and open to all.
“Hastings is committed to ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to find safe and decent housing, regardless of their background,” said Chad Bunger, Director of Development Services for the City of Hastings. “The symposium will provide valuable information to both landlords and tenants about Nebraska’s Landlord-Tenant Act, as well as information about the City’s property and building codes.”
