Cottonmill Mill Trail, (Brian Neben, Central Nebraska Today)
KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Parks Department would like to inform the public the hike-bike trail from the Rolling Hills bridge to Cottonmill Park will be closed for repairs to be made to the Kearney Canal by NPPD.
The work is currently underway, and the trail will reopen on or before Friday April 4, 2025, weather permitting. NPPD is requesting additional time to complete their repairs to the Kearney Canal after the effects of last week’s blizzard.
Citizens are asked to avoid the construction area, utilize an alternate route and obey all traffic control devices related to the trail closure.
