OMAHA — The Omaha Police Department arrested two men in connection with the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy near Omaha’s Monroe Middle School.

“Omaha Police have arrested Christopher Swillie, 19, for first degree murder, first degree felony assault, shooting at or from a vehicle, and 3 counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony. Lashanee Thomas-Moore, 19, was arrested for accessory to a felony in regards to the homicide investigation,” the Omaha Police Department stated.

“Omaha Police responded to 5128 Emmet Street on a report of a shooting. Officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds, including a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man. Both victims were taken to UNMC where the 15-year-old boy died of his injuries,” per the OPD.
