KEARNEY – University of Nebraska at Kearney students won four events and placed in the top five a total of 16 times during a statewide business competition.

The Nebraska Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate State Leadership Conference was hosted Saturday and Sunday in Kearney, with students from colleges and universities across the state in attendance.

Sixteen Lopers participated in the annual event, giving them an opportunity to network with peers and professionals, attend educational workshops and showcase their knowledge and skills while competing in a variety of business-related events.

Nine UNK students qualified for the FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference by placing in the top four in one or more events. Scheduled for May 31 to June 2 in Dallas, Texas, that competition features the top business students from colleges and universities across the country.
