Hall County Sheriff’s Office to take part in “Put the Phone Away or Pay”

GRAND ISLAND — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is taking part in the “Put the Phone Away or Pay” campaign.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation awarded the Hall County Sheriff’s Office $5,336.33 to provide extra patrols focused on traffic enforcement for the upcoming “Put the Phone Away or Pay,” mobilization campaign.

This will run from April 7 – April 14, the aim of the enforcement is to reduce fatal and serious distracted driving related crashes in Nebraska.
