HASTINGS — Hastings Parks & Recreation invites the public to a pair of Easter holiday events on Saturday, April 12.
The Seventh annual Easter Egg Dog Bone Hunt will be held at the Dog Park (south of Good Samaritan Society, East of U.S. Highway 6).
Dogs under 30 pounds will hunt 10-10:30 a.m. Dogs 30 pounds and over will hunt 11-11:30 a.m.
There is a $5 registration fee.
Registration can be completed here: https://secure.rec1.com/NE/hastings-ne/catalog. Registration can also be done at the event.
All dogs must be licensed and up to date on vaccinations.
It will be a fun time for humans and furry friends alike. All participants will have an opportunity to get a picture taken with the Easter Bunny and hunt for fun treats in the park. Proceeds go toward dog park amenities.
Then, at 2 p.m. the annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Brickyard Park on D Street in southwest Hastings.
The Easter Bunny will place colored eggs throughout the park. This year there will be 4,000 eggs!
There is no fee to participate.
Please bring your own basket or sack. Ages 10 and under.
