It was Volleyball Day in Nebraska as 92,003 fans filled the stadium setting a new world record for the largest crowd ever for a women’s sporting event. UNK and Wayne State played in the days opening match. The crowd also topped the previous record for Memorial stadium which had been a crowd of 91,585 for a Nebraska vs. Miami football game in 2014. After an amazing fireworks and drone show former American Idol winner Scotty McCreery played a twenty song set including most of his biggest hits and some classic country covers.
