LINCOLN — Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola was named one of 14 semifinalists for the 2024 Shaun Alexander Freshman-of-the-Year Award on Wednesday.
Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award is presented by the Maxwell Football Club and is awarded to the outstanding freshman player in college football.
Raiola has started all nine games as a true freshman and has thrown for 1,921 yards and 10 touchdowns while completing 64.7 percent of his passes. He leads all true freshman passes in yards per game (213.4) and ranks second in completion percentage and passing touchdowns.
Finalists for the seventh-annual Shaun Alexander Freshman-of-the-Year award will be December 4 and the winner of the award will be announced on December 26.
