Husker Volleyball ensured an undefeated homestand Saturday night with a sweep over #6 Wisconsin, 25-21, 25-22, 25-17.

The Huskers improved to 28-1 on the year, while Wisconsin was effectively eliminated from the Big Ten Championship, now 15-3 in conference (21-6 overall). The Huskers can clinch the Championship at #4 Penn State on Friday.

It was all Huskers from the start, getting out to a 7-0 run on Lexi Rodriguez’s serve, before Wisconsin would battle back with four straight to cut the lead to 10-7. Nebraska would keep a small lead throughout, led by 4 kills from Rebekah Allick in the set, individually hitting .714. Taylor Landfair’s kill would be set point.

The second was much more back and forth, with Nebraska jumping out to a 6-0 lead on Harper Murray’s serves. This set was the tightest of the three, as there were two ties. Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, and Taylor Landfair all had four kills apiece in the set.

The third set was dicey at first, with two ties before either team hit the 15 point mark. Harper Murray’s serve would go on another long run, going on another 6-0 run after Wisconsin took an early lead at 5-4. Wisconsin would take two service aces to tie the game at 14, but Nebraska would take a 7-2 run out of a called timeout to take the third set 25-17.

Merritt Beason led with 11 kills, while Rebekah Allick had 10 on .667 hitting percentage, and Harper Murray had 9 kills. Bergen Reilly had 36 assists, and Lexi Rodriguez had 16 digs. Sarah Franklin led Wisconsin with 10 kills in the match, hitting .175 overall. As a team, Nebraska outhit Wisconsin .259 to .169
