GRAND ISLAND — City offices will be closed in Grand Island for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Black Friday holidays.
All of the below departments will be closed on both Thanksgiving and Black Friday:
- Grand Island City Hall
- Crane Public Transit
- Utilities Service Center
- Heartland Shooting Park
- Grand Island Public Library
- GIPD Service Desk (Please call 9-1-1)
- Transit Office
- Street & Fleet Office
- Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Grand Island Cemetery Office
Jackrabbit Run Golf Course will be closed from Thanksgiving through Sunday, December 1, but will reopen the driving range from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. as long as temperatures exceed 40 degrees.
The Community Fieldhouse will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will resume normal hours from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. starting Friday, Nov. 29. The Grand Island Transfer Station and Solid Waste Facility will also be closed on Thanksgiving, but reopen on Friday.
