KEARNEY — City of Kearney Sanitation Division announces that due to the upcoming Christmas Holiday the following changes will be in effect Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Dec. 27 for the refuse collection system and the Kearney Area Solid Waste Agency Landfill.
Residential Collection:
- Monday and Tuesday refuse collection will be collected on schedule.
- Wednesday and Thursday refuse collection will be delayed one day. Friday collection will remain on schedule. Please have the container at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
- Residential curbside recycling scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will remain on schedule. Recycling scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday will be delayed one day. Friday collection will remain on schedule.
Commercial Collection:
- Commercial refuse collection scheduled for Wednesday, December 25 will be delayed one day.
- Commercial recycling scheduled for Friday will be collected on Saturday, December 28.
Closings:
- The Kearney Area Recycling Center will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25.
- The Solid Waste Agency Landfill will close at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24 and will reopen Thursday, December 26.
