GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man was arrested for third degree sexual assault of a child following reported incident involving the man’s four-year-old son.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, on Wednesday, Jan. 7, officers responded to residence in reference to a possible sexual assault incident.
The reporting party advised that she had observed the offender, on video inside his child’s room, straddling his four-year-old son. The video was confirmed to have taken place on Monday, Jan. 6 in the overnight hours in the bedroom.
During this alleged sexual assault, a two-year-old girl and seven-year-old boy were present.
The man was arrested for third degree felony assault of a child and two counts of felony child abuse.
Central Nebraska Today does not generally name victims of sexual assault. The man’s name is being withheld to protect the victim’s identity.
