GRAND ISLAND — A 17-year-old male was cited for terroristic threats after he sent a message to a friend via social media that he wanted to shoot up a Grand Island school.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, a 17-year-old juvenile male sent a message to a friend on a social media platform that he wanted to shoot up the school.
This message was shared with the GIPD, who was contacted by officers and said that he sent the message as a joke.
The juvenile was transported to the Grand Island Police Department where a juvenile probation intake assessment was conducted.
The juvenile would be cited for terroristic threats and then released to his parents.
