KEARNEY — The City of Kearney announces that street repair work will take place in the northbound lanes of the 4600 block (north of Sunrise Middle School) of N Avenue beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
Traffic will be merged as head-to-head traffic in the southbound lanes from 47th Street to south of the work area. Barring unexpected delays, the inside northbound lane is expected to reopen by end of the day, while the outside northbound lane will remain closed
for one week.
Due to the often-heavy volume of traffic in the area, motorists are urged to use extreme caution when traveling around the work zone, stay off cell phones, and be aware of equipment and crew members.
