I was returning to Kearney with an eye out for a harvest scene to photography for CentralNebraskaTODAY.com when I spotted a combine operating in a field just off of Highway 30 between Elm Creek and Overton.
I jumped out and began photographing as the Case equipment approached but it came to a stop at the end of the row and the operator motioned at me come over to the door. I thought he might want to know who I was and why I was taking photos.
I climb up the ladder and explained who I was and to my surprise the operator, Jeff, was kind enough to invite me for a ride up and down one of the rows.
You have to marvel at the work our ag producers do day-in and day-out, especially during harvest season. If you see a farmer, thank them.
