THAYER, Neb. – On Monday, a Thayer School bus transporting students to Lincoln caught fire.
According to Thayer Central Community Schools, around 8:00 a.m. Monday administration was notified about a fire from a Titan Coach Bus.
The bus had been transporting 6th and 8th grade students to Lincoln.
Students, staff and driver were safely evacuated from the bus, no injuries were reported.
Those that assisted at the scene include the Fairmont Volunteer Fire and Rescue, the Fillmore Co. Sheriff’s Dept. & McCool Junction Community Schools.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
